Dirt Bikes

Learning on a dirt bike is the best way for anyone (including kids) to learn.  No motorbike license is required.  We cater to all skill levels from the absolute beginner and up.

The day will run with 2 or more riders and each rider will receive personal training with Bernie Hatton - Australia's foremost motorcycle trainer.

These courses are also a great cross training method that has created some of Australia's best motorcycle talents

The dirt bike schools are a fun and educational entry to dirt bike riding.  It is suitable for novice, learner and experienced riders whom have not had formal training.  The program will start with basic skills and move you through to some vital skills required to be a safe and competent dirt bike rider.

This is perfect for all types of riders those just interested in getting better dirt, trail riding skills or maybe even the road rider who wants to feel and understand control of two wheels when not on a bitumen road.

Skills like correct posture, use of body English when cornering, braking and slow riding are important for the more advance skills.  We also teach to use the right inputs and systems for cornering, braking, gear changing and system of control.

Our more advance strategies are hill climbs, descending hills, crossing logs, skid and traction control, basic jumps and wheel stands.  Once you have mastered the basic skills course there will be an opportunity to head out with Bernie and one of his instructors to enjoy day and weekend rides on more advanced courses.

We supply bikes, instructors,  training venue, helmets, armour and clothing including boots etc. However if you supply your own you will enjoy a discount.

We currently use either a Honda CRF 150 or CRF 230 motorcycles for our training.  Mini bike training is available for kids however you will be required to supply the bike and correct riding equipment for them.

You are guaranteed a great day and a lot of fun whilst being trained by the best. We do get booked early especially weekends please call the office and make a booking - we will help in any way we can!

DIRT BIKE CERTIFICATE COURSES

Clause 136 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation 2001 requires employers to ensure the safety of their employees when using plant, including Dirt Bikes. In particular, plant is not used unless the operator has received adequate information, training and supervision, and that it is used only for the purpose for which it is designed.

So that employers can be compliant with OH&S legislation, Top Rider  offers one-day nationally recognised Certificate IV courses in the safe handling of dirt bikes.
